Martyn is a senior urban development specialist with ten years' experience in the public and private sector in the UK and West and East Africa. His role at IPE Triple Line further broadens the urban development portfolio across IPE Global, also providing guidance and support to the Nairobi and Addis Ababa offices on urban planning, urban market and economic development and urban resilience issues. Martyn is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster on their Urban Planning course and has also worked closely with the institution on a number of urban research projects.
Prior to joining IPE Triple Line, Martyn provided urban development and planning expertise in various organisations in Africa and the UK including DFID-funded projects in Kenya, Adam Smith International in Nigeria, Green Growth Institute in Rwanda, UNICEF in Kenya and UK as well as the Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames and the Leeds City Council.
Martyn holds an MA in International Planning and Sustainable Development (Distinction) from University of Westminster and a BSc in Geography from University of Plymouth. He speaks basic French.
