Salim is an experienced urban development specialist. He is responsible for business development and project delivery across the cities and infrastructure portfolio.

Salim is an urban development specialist and housing expert with 10 years of experience working on projects and programmes to support sustainable urban development funded by donor agencies including ADB, DFID, GIZ, USAID, The World Bank, Climate, Development and Knowledge Network (CDKN) as well as government and non-government agencies.

Recent experience includes working on a number of affordable housing projects in Afghanistan, India and Myanmar, and several projects in the area of urban mobility, special area planning, affordable housing, architecture and urban design. He brings strong project management experience through implementation of large-scale assignments in India, Mongolia and Afghanistan that have focused on policy frameworks, trunk infrastructure, facility management, smart city initiatives, environment and social assessment and master planning.

Salim has been a thematic expert to various urban development initiatives by the Government of India including its Smart City Mission, Swachh Bharat Mission (Clean India Mission), Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation and National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana.

Salim holds a post-graduate degree in City Planning from the Indian Institute of Technology and is a council registered architect.
