Stephen has worked with the private sector, advising clients ranging from blue chip companies, private equity firms and small and medium enterprises. His experience spans across diverse sectors such as agribusiness, financial services, manufacturing, consumer services, energy, telecommunication and life sciences. Stephen has developed strong skills in data analysis, project and relationship management through various assignments ranging from due diligence assignments and business valuations to market and feasibility studies, business development support and business delegations.
Specifically, he has particular expertise in collecting and analysing data using tools and data visualisations to help surface insights and solutions. He has an excellent grasp of the East African market which has enabled him to assist clients in market sizing and mapping out possible opportunities for market entry in the Eastern African region. Some of the key achievements include delivery of a range of market studies in Africa on edible oils, creative arts, bioenergy, packaging materials, confectioneries, civil security, innovation and cancer landscape.
Furthermore, he is an advisor at SOMO Project, a non-profit organisation that identifies, trains, funds and mentors entrepreneurs looking to drive social change by building enterprises in their low-income urban communities.
Stephen is a certified Investment and Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Nairobi.
